Learning Aluminium provides free information and exciting, cross-curricular activities for teachers and students aged 7-14.
They have been created by the UK aluminium industry and leading manufacturers. We want to get today’s students excited about aluminium as a design material, and the important role it can play in creating a more sustainable lifestyle. After all, today’s students are tomorrow’s designers, engineers, architects and consumers.
Life Cycle Resources guide students around the aluminium ‘loop’ and encourage them to think about recycling. Two versions are available to suit primary and secondary age groups. Find out more about the Aluminium Life Cycle
The Alu D&T Challenge offers students aged 11-14 the opportunity to test out their design skills. Students can answer one of three curriculum-linked design challenges, all of which encourage students to explore the benefits of aluminium as a material for design. In Their designs can be entered in our national competition to win great prizes for the students and their school. Find out more about the Alu D&T Challenge.
Our #DandT competition is supported by the UK #aluminium industry, who help to create the #design briefs and judge the entries. The grand prize this year is a trip to #Milan, sponsored by @Novelis Open for individuals and teams in Y7-Y9 until 12th January. ow.ly/LWKf30grDtZ
